"P" for Personality

Another recent session involved creating the portraits of a 2 yr old named Reese. This little girl was amazing and had such and incredible personality along with an infectious smile. Some of you may or may not know, but before starting my portrait business I covered professional sports for many years photographing pretty much every sport conceivable. Well Miss Reese quickly gave me a schooling and I had to draw on all of my previous experience in capturing timeless portraits of her as she was a ball of energy. I thought my daughter was full of energy! Yikes!! My mind flutters at the thought of those two together for a play date.... Her parents were a blast and were equally as fun. They own their own successful Design Firm, (Black Bear Design Group), so if your ever in the need for great work in a range of areas, look them up or contact me for their info.

Pictures of Lilly...

Here are a couple portraits of an adorable little girl. I was actually commissioned to create a large family portrait (of which she was included) along with several smaller family groupings. But to also not do individual portraits of her would have been a crime. The family was absolutely wonderful and so fun to be around and thus made the whole session more enjoyable than normal. I truly love getting the opportunity to record moments in peoples lives...

Another drip of images...

As I stated yesterday, I was going to be posting numerous images of current/recent sessions. These are portraits that didn't make it to the blog as planned due to numerous reasons to many note here. These are images that in my humble view really captured the personality of my subjects. It is what I strive for in each and every session and something that will not allow me to quit until I know in my heart I "caught" it. Obviously now with digital one can just look on the back of the camera and pretty much know you got it. I prefer to keep creating and not to lose the interaction with the subjects if at all possible. The first portraits in this group were from a beautiful 15 week old baby girl named "Maggie".

Catching up yet again...

I'm just doing some much needed catching up with some clients images and the blog site. I'm providing a range of ages in the portraits that will accompany my very brief writing. One item that I do need to mention is that my session special will continue into February due to the great response I've had during January. So my session fee's for the remaining few days of January and all of February is only $75 which is a savings of $50!

Back to the portraits. I'll start at about 2 weeks old and gradually move up over the next few days. Let me introduce you to the portraits of 2 week old Rain. Enjoy!!

Back again

I everyone's holidays were wonderful and that your 2008 is off to a fantastic start! Yes, I realize that I said in my last post that I was adament about keeping up with my blog for the New Year and I truly am. I just happened to get a bit of a late start, thats all. I'm so very excited about this year and all of the plans and ideas I will be implementing over the course of the year. Please check back often as I will be providing details on various specials and unique portrait locations and sessions that will be happening.

To begin the New Year I have been provided the opportunity to photograph the winners of the Atlanta Kids Directory First Annual Photo Contest. The first session took place this week and I was fortunate to meet and photograph the Grand Prize Winner, Alexander. He was a ball of energy but thankfully managed to stay patient long enough and remained contained due in large part because of course of his wonderful Mom. Often times during first time sessions, it takes a little bit of time for the child to get totally comfortable with me being the strange guy with a camera. But not for Alexander. His nickname is Mr. Happyface/Mr. Sunshine and he lived up that name completely. The only slight problem that I had was trying to get him not to smile so much! The session went fantastic and I was really pleased with the outcome. Here are a few portraits from the session. Please look for Alexander to appear on the March cover of the Atlanta Kids Directory...
