All the way from Texas!!

Talk about being happy in your work. This family heard what type of portraits we've been producing and had to make the trek all the way from Texas to have their family session done! What an honor! Okay, well actually it is only partially true. Yes they are living in Texas and yes they have been wanting Family portraits done for some time, but they are actually my brother and sister in laws along with their two boys. We don't get to see or spend time with them often because their so far away which is difficult. But during their stay they spent some time around the Charleston area and purchased some property and will be heading back to the Right coast in a year or two so we're really excited. It will then be about the perfect time for some Beach portraits! So here was a few of the images we created.

Gearing up for Graduation!!

I had the opportunity to create some senior portraits for two soon to be high school graduates, Jamie and Sarah. These two young women are sure to set the world on fire. They both have terrific attitudes and seem to be quite grounded with their eyes geared toward the future. Their parents definitely had a strong and positive influence on them.

We were lucky to take advantage of some beautiful weather that moved in shortly after the terrible storms that produced so much damage in Georgia. It was really hard to believe how different the weather had been only 24 hours before. The only thing we really had to compete with was a strong breeze. As you see, I've included a couple of random images of both girls. Also I will soon be offering some Senior Specials for the crop of 2009! Please check back about that shortly.

weekend session...

I'm a few days behind in my posting from some sessions and more specifically a long awaited session for a new client. It was for another little boy who was celebrating his 1st birthday and we wanted to do some of my signature "formal" portraits against a classic black background along with some outside casual images. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate to well for the latter. So we opted for images with nice Easter/Spring clothes as well as a sporty baseball look. Aleksandr has all the makings of quite the athlete. But if I were a betting man, I would say his parents might opt for a student athlete instead and I would not disagree in the least. He has an impressive are and swing for a possible baseball future. I guess we'll just have to wait and see on that prediction. All in all the session was a great deal of fun and I enjoyed meeting Aleksandr and his parents and appreciated their patience during all the fun. Here is just a very brief peek until I finish processing the session and meet again with Alek's folks...

More drips from recent sessions...

The portraits below are from an adorable 6 month old named Maggie. This is my second session with her and it is fun watching her grow. Her personality is really starting to take shape and it interesting to watch the reactions of her parents. You can see how much she melts her parents hearts with her different looks and expressions. What a fun time to watch. She is just on the verge of really crawling and soon she will be quite mobile which is a neat thing to view but obviously opens up a whole new realm of awareness for the parents. Can we all say: Childproof? Anyway here are just a couple of images until I show the parents the full session of images. One more item. I would like to congratulate some new friends on becoming parents for the second time! Congrats to Carmen and Claudio Salvi on the birth of Julian Christian! He was born on Monday and weighed in at a healthy 8 lbs, 6 oz. I cannot wait to meet the little man! Bravo!

Feelin' better...

I've been slacking a bit on keeping up with the blog the past few weeks and I apologize. I've had a number of important deadlines to meet and then the flu bug our home. Actually just Susan and myself. By some miracle from above, the kids managed to skate by it this time and stay healthy. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for that but I would be lying if I didn't say there was a selfish part of me that thought that if they too were sick, we would all be able to rest at the same time... In any sense, we survived and are nearly back to full health.

I'll now try and get somewhat up to date and post a few images from recent sessions over the next few days. The first images are from this past weekend. I was fortunate enough to spend part of that incredible gorgeous Sunday photographing a soon to be 1 yr old boy named Nicholas. He has some really cool parents who were really warm and open. I felt badly because Jim (Nick's Dad) had been busy doing yardwork and enjoying the day until I arrived. Suddenly he got thrust into the job of photographers assistant which he handled quite well. Nick's mom, Kelly, got the major assist by just keeping Nicholas happy and content as only a mother can do. All in all I had a really fun time and we created some great portraits that I think they'll truly enjoy. Here is just a quick sampling...
